Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Post Person with Driving to deliver letters and parcels across the local community. You will drive a delivery route and cover portions on foot, ensuring items reach their destinations safely regardless of weather.

You will handle and deliver election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards. Roles require flexibility, outdoor activity, and a driving assessment before you start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, in and out of the van, carrying mailbags up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; you need to be adaptable to short-notice changes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to your community in all weather conditions.
• Drive your delivery area and complete parts of your route on foot.
• Securely deliver all items, including election materials and items like food or alcohol, per Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment at start.
