Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for a Post Person with Driving to deliver letters and parcels within your community. You will drive a Royal Mail van and also walk parts of your route, ensuring items reach their destinations safely and on time.

The role requires a strong work ethic, flexibility in shifts, and will involve delivering election materials and other items in line with standards. A driving assessment will be part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; must be able to adapt at short notice.
• Pass a driving assessment when you start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to a local community, rain or shine.
• Drive your delivery area and walk sections of your route to complete deliveries.
• Securely deliver all items, including election materials and certain items per Royal Mail standards.
• Maintain high levels of service and customer care while on duty.
