Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Post Person with Driving to serve the local community by delivering letters and parcels. You will drive your round and occasionally walk parts of the route, providing reliable service and ensuring items reach destinations securely.

The role involves outdoor work, physical activity, handling items up to 16kg, and delivering election materials in line with Royal Mail standards. A driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, need to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community, come rain or shine.
• Drive your delivery round and complete parts of the route on foot.
• Securely deliver all items, including election materials and certain items (food/alcohol) per Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment on start date.
