Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Post Person with Driving to serve your local community. You will drive a delivery round and occasionally walk sections of your route, providing reliable service and ensuring items reach their destinations safely.

The role involves outdoor work, delivering letters and parcels, handling election materials and restricted items per Royal Mail standards, and staying active throughout the day. A driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Be prepared to walk long distances and carry mailbags up to 16kg.
• Able to adapt to varying shift patterns at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as a Royal Mail post person in your community.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and complete parts of routes on foot; work outdoors in all weathers.
• Ensure secure and timely delivery, including handling election materials and restricted items in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment at the start of employment.
