Job summary

Royal Mail in Rochdale is seeking a Delivery Driver to join the local Delivery Office. You will deliver letters and parcels, drive a Royal Mail van around your round, and represent the service in the community.

The role requires a full, manual UK driving licence with up to six points, the fitness to walk long distances (around 20,000 steps daily) and flexible shifts including early, day and evening patterns.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag with up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; you must be able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your round in your community.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van and ensure items reach their destination safely.
• Be the face of Royal Mail, providing exceptional service come rain or shine.
• Handle and deliver election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail standards.
