Job summary

Cygnet in Dene Brook, Rotherham, is seeking an Acting Team Leader to join a residential care service supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role involves 42-hour weeks with 12-hour shifts, on a two-week rolling rota, including alternate weekends and days of work.

You will help lead staff, ensure person-centred care and uphold safety across the service. Successful candidates will have prior care experience, be confident, communicative and ready to step up into

Qualifications

• Experience as a supervisor or team leader in a care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to support individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all individuals in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs & report as required
• Support management in the day-to-day running of the service

We are looking for a confident Acting Team Leader with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You’ll be working full time 42 hours a week, 12 hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), days only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Dene Brook.

Dene Brook is a specialist residential service in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs, autism and behaviours that may challenge.

We encourage and enable the people we support to lead a full and happy life. We work with them to ensure they have more choice and control in their lives. We find out their strengths, abilities and preferences so that the care provided can be as person-centred and meaningful to each individual.

Please note, successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Your Day-to-Day...
