Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking an acting team leader at Dene Brook in Rotherham to support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role is full-time, 42 hours weekly with 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends on a two-week rolling rota, days only.

You will assist management, supervise staff, provide physical and emotional support, and help deliver person-centred care while safeguarding residents and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

You’ll be working full time42hours a week,12hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), days only,making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Dene Brook.

Dene Brook is a specialist residential service in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs, autism and behaviours that may challenge.

We encourage and enable the people we support to lead a full and happy life. We work with them to ensure they have more choice and control in their lives. We find out their strengths, abilities and preferences so that the care provided can be as person-centred and meaningful to each individual.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach to all individuals in our care
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs & report as required
  • Support management in the day-to-day running of the service
  • Undertake supervisory & administrative responsibilities
  • Safeguard
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all.

  • Salary: acting team leader rate (payable for all acting team leader shifts): £15.39 per hour, support worker rate: £13.15 per hour, rising to £13.45 per hour after three months (£29,435.70 first year), rising to £13.70ph after 18 months
