Role: Software Controls Engineer – Oil&Gas Sector

Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week, flexible working)
Salary: £40,000 – £52,000 (dependent on experience)

Reporting to the Sector Project Manager, your role involves supporting and delivering automation projects for our key accounts.

️ Your daily responsibilities include:

1. Designing and modifying PLC, HMI, and SCADA software to meet customer specifications and industry standards.
2. Advising customers on automation solutions and control system architecture best practices.
3. Conducting site surveys and assisting in preparing project quotations (engineering time & materials).
4. Working on-site regularly, with significant client-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience with PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs from OEMs like Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Beijer, and Aveva Wonderware.
• Strong knowledge of industrial network setup, commissioning, and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to read and interpret industrial electrical schematics.
• Understanding of UK water industry standards and practices.
