Role: Software Controls Engineer - Water Sector

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week, flexible hours

About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Software Controls Engineer to work in our Water Sector. Reporting to the Sector Project Manager, the role involves supporting and delivering automation projects for key accounts. The position includes developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA software in a dynamic industry sector, with significant customer-facing and site work responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Produce and modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA software according to customer standards.
  • Advise customers on automation solutions and control system architectures.
  • Conduct site surveys and assist with project quotations.
The Person:
  • Good knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems from OEMs like Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Aveva Wonderware, and Beijer.
  • Experience in setting up, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial networks.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Awareness of standards in the water sector.
