Job summary

Boots UK, the UK’s largest pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer, is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support Pharmacists and Healthcare professionals in delivering safe, efficient pharmaceutical services. You will oversee dispensing, perform final accuracy checks, and coach dispensing team members, contributing to patient-centred care across Primary and Secondary care settings.

Qualifications

Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Pharmacy Regulator (GPhC)
Passion for patient and customer care
Able to deliver high standards efficiently
Comfortable overseeing dispensing team and supporting the wider Healthcare Team
Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Digitally knowledgeable and comfortable with new technology
Commitment to continuous learning and developing in role

Responsibilities

Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions
Final accuracy check of dispensed items before supply
Overseeing Dispensing Team Members when required by Responsible Pharmacist
Involved in preparation, supply and checking of prescriptions, advising on treatment options
Taking medicine histories and advising on treatment options
Advising patients and coaching others to provide medical advice and refer complex queries to Pharmacist
