This role suits someone who enjoys working with owner‑managed businesses and wants a varied role preparing accounts and ensuring clients remain compliant with Companies House and HMRC requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on accounts professional with practice experience.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts for small/owner-managed businesses.
• Strong understanding of Companies House and HMRC compliance.
• AAT qualified (or studying) preferred, but relevant experience also valued.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of small business clients (owner-managed).
• Ensuring accounts and submissions are completed accurately and on time for Companies House and HMRC.
• Preparing or assisting with corporation tax computations/returns.
• Producing bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reviewing client records to identify issues.
• Liaising with clients to gather missing information and resolve queries.
