Responsibilities

• Prepare and review year-end accounts for variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships and companies.
• Prepare tax calculations and support the tax team by identifying potential issues.
• Complete bookkeeping assignments for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare and review management accounts and VAT returns.
• Build strong client relationships and respond to day-to-day queries.
• Support audit and tax teams on a range of assignments.
• Work closely with senior colleagues to ensure work is accurate and on time.

As Accounts Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities
• Preparing tax calculationsand supporting the wider tax team by identifying potential issues
• Completing bookkeeping assignments for a varied portfolio of clients
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts and VAT returns
• Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
• Supporting the audit and tax teams on a range of assignments to broaden your experience
• Working closely with senior colleagues to ensure work is delivered accurately and on time

The successful Accounts Technician candidate will:

Already have experience working within an accountancy practice environment and will ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards ACA or ACCA.

You'll enjoy working with clients, have excellent communication skills and be confident managing your own workload. Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks would be advantageous, although training will be provided where required.
