Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Accounts Senior in Newport to manage a varied client portfolio including small companies, sole traders and partnerships. You will deliver hands-on accounts and tax work while developing client management capabilities.

Working with Directors, you’ll gain exposure to problem solving, portfolio management and client relationships, with a path toward Client Manager over a few years.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare Corporation Tax and Income Tax returns.
• Assist with bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support clients with day-to-day accounting and taxation queries.
• Build strong relationships with a varied client portfolio.
• Work closely with Directors and wider team.
• Manage workload around client deadlines and filing deadlines.
• Deliver a professional and personal service to clients.
• Progress towards Client Manager over the coming years.
