Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Accounts Senior near Guildford to manage a portfolio of accounts and tax clients. The role requires ACA/ACCA qualifications with 2–5 years post-qualified experience in a small to medium practice, and strong accounting software knowledge.

You will oversee financial statements, client relationships, and help the tax team with compliance, while supporting bookkeeping and VAT needs. A hybrid working setup is offered.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification
• 2–5 years post-qualified experience
• Experience in small to mid-sized practices
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and reporting standards
• Experience preparing accounts and managing client relationships

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and statutory accounts for clients.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met and queries are resolved.
• Support tax team with basic tax compliance.
• Support clients with bookkeeping and VAT returns as needed.
• Monitor and review the work of junior team members, offering guidance and support.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact for financial queries.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
