Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for an Accounts Senior / Part-Qualified Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice in the United Kingdom. The role involves managing a varied portfolio of general practice work and developing strong relationships with owner-managed business clients.

You may be fully or part-qualified, with experience in accounts preparation, VAT and tax returns, and familiarity with cloud platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in accountancy practice.
• Comfortable with VAT, corporation tax and self-assessment returns.
• Familiar with IRIS or similar accounts and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and companies.
• Prepare corporation tax and self-assessment returns.
• Complete VAT returns and monthly/quarterly accounting assignments.
• Support owner-managed businesses with ongoing accounting requirements.
• Manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Coach junior colleagues and develop client relationships.
