Job summary

Coreus Talent Acquisition is recruiting an Accounts Senior for an established accountancy firm in the South West, to join the Professional Practices team and support a portfolio of legal-sector clients. The role covers year-end accounts, audit support, management accounts, tax computations and VAT returns, with opportunities to develop specialist legal-sector expertise.

Hybrid working is available in Bristol, Exeter, Poole, and surrounding areas; previous legal-sector experience is preferred but

Qualifications

• Previous accounting experience within an accountancy practice.
• AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified, part-qualified, or equivalent experience.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients.
• Comfortable working across accounts and audit assignments.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.

An established accountancy firm is seeking an Accounts Senior to join its Professional Practices team, supporting a portfolio of legal-sector clients.

Previous legal-sector experience is preferred but not essential. The role would also suit an Accounts Senior from general practice looking to broaden their exposure across accounts, audit, tax and advisory work.

The role:

• Prepare year-end accounts and financial information
• Support statutory audit assignments and specialist client work
• Prepare management accounts, tax computations and VAT returns
• Analyse financial information and identify client issues
• Build strong client relationships and support junior team members

The team also undertakes Solicitors' Accounts Rules client money audits, providing the opportunity to develop specialist legal-sector expertise.

Essential experience

• Previous accounting experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified, part-qualified, or equivalent experience
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients
• Comfortable working across accounts and audit assignments
• Strong client-facing and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience working with law firm clients
• Knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules
• Exposure to partnership, LLP or tax work
