Trial Balance in Exeter is seeking an Accounts and Audit Senior to join a growing practice. The role offers a balance of audit and accounts work with opportunities for progression and professional development.

You will plan and deliver external audit assignments, prepare statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio, build strong client relationships, and mentor junior team members while working closely with Managers and Partners.

Qualifications

As an Accounts and Audit Senior, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering external audit assignments from initial planning through to completion
• Preparing statutory accounts for a broad portfolio of clients
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact
• Supporting, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior members of the team
• Working closely with Managers and Partners to deliver a high-quality service across both audit and accounts

The successful Accounts and Audit Senior candidate will:

Ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification, with previous experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.

You’ll have a solid grounding in both audit and accounts preparation, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload while maintaining high technical standards. Previous experience across both disciplines within practice will be essential.
