Job summary

Streets, a growing UK accountancy practice, seeks an experienced Accounts Senior to join a busy team and lead client work. You will prepare financial statements and year-end accounts, liaise with clients, and ensure timely delivery while mentoring junior staff.

The role offers a pathway to ownership of a client portfolio, with opportunities to travel to client premises and between offices as needed. 36.25 hours per week with hybrid options after initial period.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification or part qualification is required.
• 3 years of General Practice experience is expected.
• Knowledge of accounting standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries professionally.
• Complete assignments within budget and on time.
• Produce draft tax computations for clients.
• Prepare year-end accounts for various entity types.
• Review work by junior staff.
• Support development of junior staff.
• Prepare schedules for tax returns.
• Complete VAT returns.
