NMS Recruit is guiding an Accounts Senior opportunity in Tarporley, Cheshire. The role covers year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, along with maintaining records and performing reconciliations.

You will support clients, mentor juniors, and help manage workflow. Strong VAT knowledge and familiarity with Xero/Sage/QuickBooks are advantageous. Flexible arrangements may be considered.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified as a minimum, ideally ACA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Experience preparing accounts for small and medium-sized businesses.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounts preparation.
• Knowledge of VAT and basic corporation tax compliance would be beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Maintaining accurate working papers and client records.
• Processing bookkeeping and completing bank, VAT and control account reconciliations.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Supporting clients with accounting queries and digital record keeping.
• Mentoring junior team members and helping manage workflow and deadlines.
