Ascentant Limited in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to manage client relationships and ensure delivery of high quality financial services. You will oversee statutory filings and ad hoc advice, and work with a team.

The role requires 3+ years in practice, proficiency with Xero, TaxCalc, QuickBooks or Sage, and AAT/ACCA qualifications. You will meet clients in Derby and Ripley and contribute to service excellence with a proactive, client‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in practice.
• Proficiency with Xero, TaxCalc, QuickBooks or Sage.
• AAT/ACCA qualification.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Experience with VAT, Self Assessment, CT Returns and Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and act as point of contact for queries and deadlines.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements and reports with accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare, review and file VAT Returns.
• Assist with software setup, migration and training.
• Collaborate with cross‑department teams to improve service delivery.
