Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking an Accounts Senior in Nantwich to manage a varied client portfolio and deliver high-quality accounting services. You will work with managers and partners, building strong client relationships across sectors.

Key duties include statutory accounts, management accounts, tax compliance, bookkeeping reviews, and mentoring junior staff. AAT/ACA/ACCA or studying toward qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• AAT qualification or ACA/ACCA qualification or currently studying towards one.
• Strong accounts preparation experience and client-facing skills.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
• Handle corporation and personal tax compliance work.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Assist with client meetings and advisory projects.

As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for managing a varied client portfolio and delivering high-quality accounting services. You will work closely with managers and partners while building strong relationships with clients across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports
• Corporation tax and personal tax compliance work
• Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Assisting with client meetings and advisory projects

Profile

A successful Accounts Senior:

• Has experience working within an accountancy practice environment
• Is AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified or studying towards qualification
• Has strong accounts preparation experience
• Possesses excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Has experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
