Identify Talent is seeking an Accounts Senior in the accountancy practice space to manage day-to-day client accounting, lead a small team and shape the outsourced finance function. The role emphasizes client delivery, workflow ownership and strategic development within a collaborative, growth-focused firm.

You should be part-qualified in ACA or ACCA with strong bookkeeping and management accounts skills, ideally from a practice environment, and comfortable guiding junior colleagues while

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified.
• Strong bookkeeping and management accounts grounding.
• Experience in a practice environment preferred.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Confident with clients and supporting junior colleagues.
• Eager to learn new systems and tech.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting services for a varied client portfolio.
• Lead and develop a small team of bookkeepers and trainees.
• Own workflows, allocations and delivery timelines.
• Support strategic planning of outsourced finance.
• Oversee bookkeeping tasks including reconciliations, ledgers, invoices and expenses.
• Review month-end and year-end accounts.
• Review and submit VAT returns.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Use accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS.
