Job summary

Trial Balance, a Redruth-based accountancy practice, is seeking an Accounts Senior to join their successful team. This role offers the chance to move beyond compliance and build strong client relationships while using the latest cloud accounting tools.

You will apply your statutory accounting and tax knowledge in a proactive advisory context, support clients with strategic insights, and contribute to a sociable, professional environment that values development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in statutory accounting and tax compliance within practice.
• Ability to develop and manage client relationships and provide practical advisory input.
• Proficiency with cloud accounting tools, especially Xero.

This is a great role for a Seniorwho is looking to offer more than pure compliance, developing a strong business relationship with your clients whilst ensuring best usage of the technology at your disposal. You’ll also work with a sociable and dynamic group of Accountants in an environment where personal and professional development is actively encouraged at all times.

Of course you’ll spend plenty of time utilising your expertise in statutory accounting and tax compliance, so a strong background in a practice environment is essential. You’ll also work on more strategic business advisory projects so excellent commercial acumen is of equal importance, along with the communication skills to get your point across to non-financially minded clients.

Qualifications wise, thisclient is pretty open-minded. You may be a qualified AAT, ACA or ACCA, or you may be an active studier looking for a role with a great study support offering. I’m also keen to speak to non-qualified practice specialists and candidates who have worked in client bookkeeping or outsourced accounting teams. Systems expertise in Xero or similar cloud-based accounting packages would be highly regarded.
