Job summary

Clark Wood is seeking an Accounts Senior in St Neots to join a small, friendly accountancy practice. You will handle year-end accounts for varied client types, prepare tax returns, and support VAT returns and management accounts while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role offers hands-on work, direct client contact, and an opportunity to become a valued member of a close-knit team, with supervision from Partners and mentoring of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Confident preparing accounts to completion.
• Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Friendly, well-organised and able to thrive in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare corporation and personal tax returns.
• Assist with VAT returns and management accounts.
• Deal directly with clients and their day-to-day queries.
• Support and review the work of junior team members.
• Work closely with the Partners across a varied client portfolio.
