Job summary

Clark Wood are recruiting for an Accounts Senior to join a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Redditch.

This role suits someone with UK practice experience, skilled in statutory and management accounts, VAT returns, and cloud accounting using Xero, with strong client management abilities and a drive for career progression.

You will manage a portfolio of SME clients, support managers with advisory work, and contribute to deadlines and quality of work in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous accountancy practice experience.
• Experience working with SME and OMB clients.
• Strong Xero and cloud accounting experience.
• Good communication and client management skills.
• AAT, ACA / ACCA part-qualified, qualified or QBE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and companies.
• Prepare management accounts and VAT returns.
• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
• Support clients with Xero and cloud accounting.
• Assist Managers with client assignments and advisory work.
• Manage deadlines and ensure work is completed accurately.
