Clark Wood, a leading accountancy practice, are recruiting an Accounts Senior in Truro to join their growing team. You will work with a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and limited companies, handling accounts preparation, tax compliance, planning and advisory work.

Ideal for an AAT qualified individual or ACA/ACCA studier, with a clear pathway into a Manager position within the next 12 months. Excellent study support and a competitive salary are on offer.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or ACA/ACCA studying or qualified.
• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Experience with statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for owner-managed businesses and limited companies
• Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
• Assisting with tax planning and advisory assignments
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting and advising clients on accounting and taxation matters
• Developing towards managing your own portfolio of clients

The successful candidate will primarily work with a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and limited companies, gaining exposure to a varied workload including accounts preparation, tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory work. As your experience develops, you will take on responsibility for managing your own portfolio of clients and become a trusted advisor to local businesses.
