Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-established accountancy practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Client Manager to join their team in Daventry.
The Role
Managing a portfolio of small to medium-sized clients, you will act as a key point of contact, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services with minimal Partner supervision.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of small to medium-sized clients and acting as their primary point of contact
- Building strong, long-term client relationships and leading client meetings
- Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements
- Reviewing corporate and personal tax returns and supporting routine tax planning work
- Ensuring client work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines
- Managing your own workflow and overseeing the allocation and delivery of work across the team
- Supervising and reviewing work completed by junior and trainee members of staff
- Delegating work effectively and supporting the training and development of junior colleagues
- Identifying opportunities for additional services and contributing to business development
- Providing commercially focused advice and identifying tax planning and business improvement opportunities
- Managing assignments within agreed budgets and timescales
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent, QBE also considered DOE
- Strong experience within an accountancy practice
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, tax compliance and tax planning
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Strong organisational and workflow management abilities
- Commercially aware with sound decision-making skills
- Previous experience supervising or developing junior team members
- Experience in business development and/or advisory-led client work would be advantageous
- Keen to take ownership of client relationships and contribute to the wider growth of the practice
