Job summary

DPC Accountants, part of the Sumer Group, is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join the Stoke-on-Trent team. The role involves preparing year-end accounts, financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns, with client liaison and ongoing bookkeeping support.

Ideal candidates hold AAT Level 3 or 4 or are studying towards AAT/ACA/ACCA, have practice experience, and are familiar with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 or 4, or currently studying towards AAT/ACA/ACCA.
• Previous accountancy practice experience – essential.
• Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns.
• Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements.
• Producing management accounts.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Assisting with bookkeeping and general accounts work.
