Job summary

ProTalent Limited in Royston is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join a well-established, boutique accounting firm. You will prepare financial statements from source records, manage a range of accounts, and liaise directly with clients for information and queries.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year’s experience, be studying ACCA/ACA or have AAT 3/4, and be proficient with Sage, Xero and QuickBooks. This role offers a supportive team and a forward-thinking practice environment.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 or 4, ACCA or ACA studier required.
• Minimum 1 year's experience in accounts preparation.
• Strong double entry knowledge and skill.
• Experience with cloud accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements from source records to final accounts for review by the manager.
• Prepare accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions in financial statements.
• Adhere to proper accounting standards and meet deadlines.
• Work on a wide range of accounts and manage time within budget.
• Develop and maintain good client relations and respond to queries.
• Ensure hours worked are recorded and provide accounting system recommendations.
