Job summary

MET Recruitment UK Ltd is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a permanent, on-site role in Dudley, West Midlands. The successful candidate will manage the sales ledger, raise invoices, allocate payments and perform reconciliations, while supporting month-end processes and ERP system improvements.

The role requires strong AR experience, solid bookkeeping knowledge, and proficiency in Excel; SAP experience is advantageous. Salary around £30,000 depending on experience, DOE.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on experience in accounts receivable or sales ledger.
• Strong understanding of the full process and reconciliations.
• Experience with reconciliations, cash allocation and credit control.
• Comfort with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Studying towards AAT or equivalent is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and sales ledger activities.
• Raise and process sales invoices with pricing, VAT and customer data.
• Allocate payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Investigate invoice queries and payment discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding balances and support credit control.
• Prepare aged debtor reports and maintain records.
• Process credit notes, refunds and adjustments.
• Support month-end procedures and revenue cut-off.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to resolve queries.
• Assist with SAP system integration post-implementation.
