Vp plc is seeking a Finance Assistant to join the Shared Service Centre in Long Eaton. You will support the Finance Manager and team by maintaining cashbooks, bank reconciliations and assisting with data for audits and year-end reporting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, initiative, and willingness to develop accounting qualifications, with a broad benefits package and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Finance or numerical degree or studying toward AAT or equivalent qualification.
• Willingness to progress with accounting qualifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and Excel competence.

Responsibilities

• Own cashbooks and bank reconciliations procedures to standards and timetables.
• Administer payment requests within prescribed deadlines.
• Support year-end data compilation for audits and group reporting.
• Maintain and update procedure notes for responsible areas.
• Be involved in finance projects within the team, SSC and Group.
• Assist with balance sheet supporting information as required.
