Vp plc is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our busy shared service centre in Long Eaton. You will support the Finance Manager and team by handling cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and data for audits and year-end reporting.

The role requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to accounting tasks in a dynamic environment. Join a supportive team with opportunities to progress through accounting qualifications and contribute to a wide range of finance processes and improvement

Qualifikationen

• Finance or accounting degree or studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
• Willingness to progress with accounting qualifications.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Positive attitude and responsibility for service quality.

Aufgaben

• Own the procedures for cashbooks and bank reconciliations to required standards and timetables.
• Administer payments under prescribed procedures within deadlines.
• Assist compilation of data for external and internal audits and year-end reporting.
• Operate and improve accounting processes and provide balance sheet support.
• Ensure procedure notes are maintained and updated for defined areas.
• Be involved in key projects within Finance Team, SSC and Group as directed.
• Carry out other duties within your skill and competence as needed.
