This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Finance Administration or a similar customer-focused role, who enjoys working with people and is confident communicating by telephone and email.

The Role

As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will work as part of a busy, multi-skilled team, supporting a portfolio of ledgers and communicating with both internal and external customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a high volume of internal and external customer queries by telephone and email.
  • Following standard customer collection processes and strategies.
  • Supporting the management of ledgers.
  • Preparing reports and providing updates on customer account progress and status.
  • Working closely with Sales, Marketing and other internal teams to resolve Accounts Receivable queries and issues.
  • Building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with customers.
  • Identifying potential issues and working cross-functionally to find suitable solutions
  • Completing general administration and finance-related tasks
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects within the Accounts Receivable function
  • Working collaboratively as part of a wider team and providing additional support where required.

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and confident communicating with customers. You will ideally have previous experience in a similar Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or finance-based position.

You'll need:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience working in a customer-focused role using telephone and email
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • A good eye for detail and the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • A friendly, open and professional approach.
  • GCSEs including Maths and English, or equivalent / NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
  • French language skills would be a big advantage but are not essential.

For candidates with the right skillset, there may be an opportunity to move into a permanent position

If you have previous Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or finance administration experience and are looking for your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
