Job description

I'm working with a dynamic and growing company to recruit an Accounts Receivable Assistant. This role is perfect for someone with some Accounts Receivable/Credit Control experience and is eager to expand their skill set and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Location: City of London
  • Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

What can you expect?

  • Allocate payments accurately and follow up with clients for remittance info.
  • Handle payment issues, fee queries, and allocation discrepancies.
  • Support month-end processes and account reviews.
  • Reconcile incoming payments (BACS & Direct Debit) daily.
  • Generate account and adjustment reports as needed.
  • Address client questions around fees, payments, and balances.
  • Proactively clear holding accounts by liaising with clients.
  • Upload and process Direct Debit instructions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and auditors on finance-related requests.

What skills attributes will you bring?

  • 1-2 years' experience in Credit Control, AR, or similar finance function.
  • Comfortable juggling tasks in a fast-paced, growing business.
  • Confident using Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and handling data.
  • Good grasp of finance basics and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Numerically strong, with good attention to detail.
