Job summary

West Midlands Growth Company is hiring an Accounts and Payroll Assistant to support the Finance function across AP, Sales Ledger and Payroll Administration. You’ll help ensure accurate, timely financial processing and collaborate with colleagues to deliver effective financial services.

The role offers exposure to month-end processes, general ledger support, and a developing finance career within a regional growth organisation.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a Finance department with AP/AR duties.
• Experience in Accounts Payable and Sales Ledger is essential.
• Good grasp of basic accounting principles and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of the Finance function.
• Process financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Maintain sales ledger and purchase ledger records.
• Support payroll administration and respond to queries.
• Assist with financial controls and fixed assets monitoring.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to drive process improvements.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Contribute to an integrated and proactive finance service.
