Job summary

Chickmont Foods Ltd. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure timely processing of payments. This role involves entering invoices, preparing payments, and reconciling the accounts payable sub-ledger to supplier statements.

You will also perform daily transactions, generate reports, and liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree in Business Studies or Accounts with at least two years of accounts payable experience, and strong MS Excel/Word

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Business Studies or Accounts is required.
• At least two years’ work experience in accounts payable.
• Experience with MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, and coding payments to the correct general ledger account.
• Enter accounts payable transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment reports.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure that all company procedures are executed and adhered to.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure that accounts are reconciled.
• Act as petty cash custodian for the administration department.
