Job summary

Vickerstock, in partnership with TS Foods, seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist for its Castlewellan operation. You will manage high volumes, process invoices accurately, and ensure timely supplier payments within a busy finance function.

The role emphasises reconciliation, supplier query resolution, and cross-functional collaboration, with industry experience in manufacturing or FMCG considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when processing financial information.
• Experience reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
• Competence using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG or a high-volume transactional finance environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Matching invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
• Preparing and processing supplier payment runs.
• Managing supplier queries and resolving invoice and payment issues.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring invoices are appropriately authorised.
• Supporting month-end activities, including accruals and reconciliations where required.
• Working closely with purchasing, goods-in and other internal departments to resolve queries.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and maintain efficient accounts payable procedures.
