Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the finance team in Fareham on a temporary basis. The role concentrates on Accounts Payable, processing invoices, supplier payments, reconciliations and expenses, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have prior Accounts Payable/Accounts Assistant experience, proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Xero.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant roles.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (Xero preferred).
• Experience administering employee expenses and company credit cards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Accounts Payable ledger and supplier accounts.
• Process and match invoices, resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare supplier payment runs.
• Complete bank reconciliations.
• Respond to supplier and internal finance queries.
• Support month-end activities and audit requirements.
