Job summary

Orka Financial is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join its finance team in Uxbridge on a fully onsite basis. You will process supplier invoices, maintain supplier accounts, and manage payment runs, ensuring accurate coding and timely approvals.

The role requires experience in high-volume AP environments, strong Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail to support a growing finance function in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in AP/finance roles and strong understanding of AP processes.
• Proven ability to process high volumes of invoices with accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with finance systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, matching and approval.
• Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox and allocate invoices to the correct trading entities.
• Create and maintain supplier and subcontractor accounts.
• Process utility invoices, council tax bills and subcontractor payment certificates.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries and discrepancies.
• Prepare supplier payment runs in line with payment terms.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, aged creditors and resolve outstanding account items.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, responding promptly to queries.
