Mediq UK is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the Finance team in Castle Donington on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will manage the supplier ledger, post invoices and support payment runs as the business transitions a supplier entity.

The role requires attention to detail, numeracy and strong communication. You will reconcile statements, resolve discrepancies and respond to supplier queries, contributing to timely and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable within a finance environment.
• Strong numeracy and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Willing to undergo training.

Responsabilités

• Post supplier invoices to the nominal ledger and address queries.
• Take ownership of the purchase ledger during transition until closure.
• Reconcile supplier balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Process supplier payments in line with cut-off dates.
• Prepare supplier payment runs and maintain batch processing.
• Provide ad hoc finance and administrative duties.
• Maintain supplier statements and month-end spreadsheets.
• Support a smooth handover of the closed ledger.
