Job summary

Rutherford Briant is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager in Essex to lead a growing AP function. You will manage a small team, oversee end-to-end processes, and ensure timely payments and accurate reporting for multiple group companies.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced Excel, and experience with accounting software. You will collaborate with IT on system improvements and build strong supplier relationships while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in Accounts Payable.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing end-to-end Accounts Payable process and team management.
• Managing weekly BACS payments across group companies and ensuring timely processing.
• Completing month-end routines, reconciliations and reporting for Senior Management.
