Job summary

Hartford Care Group is recruiting an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function across all group entities and homes. You will oversee AP Officers, ensure accurate supplier invoices and timely payments, and maintain strong controls and processes.

Reporting to the Head of Transactions, you will drive month-end cut-offs, reconciliations and supplier performance while developing the team and upholding governance standards.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or equivalent finance qualification
• Experience leading a high-volume AP function in a complex multi-site or multi-entity organisation
• Knowledge of supplier master-data controls, statement reconciliations and duplicate-payment prevention
• Experience with month-end cut-offs and reconciliations of creditors
• Strong people-management skills and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines
• Intermediate Excel and strong systems discipline

Responsibilities

• Leading AP across all Group entities, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time
• Owning supplier onboarding and master-data controls, with bank details validated
• Managing invoice workflow, coding, approvals and payment-run preparation with proper segregation of duties
• Overseeing supplier statement reconciliations, aged creditors and duplicate-payment checks
• Maintaining payment calendars and cash requirements with Treasury and operations
• Leading month-end AP cut-offs, creditor schedules and accruals
• Handling supplier queries and escalations, challenging incorrect charges
• Leading and developing Accounts Payable Officers and monitoring quality and turnaround times
