Eaton Syalon Ltd in South Derbyshire is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the purchase ledger function in a fast-paced environment. The role combines hands-on processing with strategic oversight across the supplier lifecycle and month-end activities.

You will manage high-volume invoices, payments, and team development while driving system improvements and ensuring robust financial controls. Hybrid working is available (1 day from home).

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a high-volume accounts payable or purchase ledger function.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with transactional finance team.
• Technical and analytical mindset with improvement focus.

Responsabilités

• Oversee end-to-end purchase ledger with supplier invoices, credit notes and POs.
• Manage multiple BACS payment runs and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Lead month-end processes and collaborate with the finance team.
• Be primary contact for supplier queries and disputes, resolving issues promptly.
• Drive efficiency by using finance systems and identifying workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance software integrations and system functionality.
• Coach and develop the purchase ledger team and manage workloads.
