Job summary

Jellycat is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and continuously improve our AP operations following the ERP deployment. You will embed best-practice processes, drive user adoption and enhance controls across the business.

Reporting to senior management, you will manage an AP team of 5, partner with stakeholders across departments, improve reporting and data quality, and ensure accurate, timely payments while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and driving improvements in Procure-to-Pay/Accounts Payable.
• Experience embedding, stabilising or optimising ERP processes after implementation.
• Experience leading and managing teams in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to adapt processes in evolving environments.
• Manage multiple priorities with strategic and day-to-day work.
• Strong understanding of accounting and VAT principles for VAT returns.
• Track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
• Ownership, accountability and a can-do attitude.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication.
• Implement best practices without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end AP process including payments to suppliers on time and in line with terms.
• Establish governance and controls to ensure segregation of duties and reduce payment errors.
• Ensure ERP processes operate effectively and address adoption issues.
• Maintain accurate coding and robust approvals to support financial reporting and budgets.
• Manage corporate card and employee expenses with compliance and timely auditing.
• Lead reporting improvements and data quality to enhance spend visibility.
• Coach and develop the AP team to perform at a high level.
