Job summary

Building Careers UK is recruiting an Accounts Payable Clerk for an office-based role in Runcorn. You will process supplier invoices, perform three-way matching, and maintain accurate records while supporting ERP implementation preparations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in accounts payable or related finance admin, with AAT study or qualification being advantageous. You will work under the Lead Cost Controller in a developing finance function.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or finance administration.
• AAT part-qualified or studying towards AAT is advantageous.
• Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
• Experience using ERP systems; Dynamics 365 BC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier, agency and cost-of-sales invoices.
• Enter invoices into Dynamics 365 BC with correct coding and supporting docs.
• Carry out three-way matching and resolve invoice queries.
• Maintain supplier reconciliations and cost allocations across projects.
• Support month-end activities and reconciliations as required.
• Assist with data cleansing and ERP implementation preparations.
