Job Description

Accounts Payable Clerk

• Process high-volume supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation
• Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS)
• Maintain accounts payable ledgers and vendor records
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries promptly
• Assist with month-end close including accruals and reporting
• Support with audit requirements and provide documentation as needed

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:

• Studying toward AAT or strong experience
• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
• Strong Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables desirable)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure
