Role

Here at ASOS, working in Accounts Payable means collaborating with the business to deliver our mission. The Accounts Payable Assistant plays a key role within the Finance department. Our goal in Finance is to build and protect business value by:

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoicing: Processing invoices by matching receipted POs with supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with ASOS invoice policy, and reviewing/unblocking unapproved invoices.
  • Payments: Preparing weekly multi-currency payment runs and ensuring timely payments to suppliers, aiming for 100% paid on time.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liabilities: Reviewing accounts with debit balances, requesting refunds, and investigating unallocated payments.
  • Reconciliations: Regularly reconciling key supplier accounts and clearing aged Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI).
  • Process Optimization: Keeping master data up to date, archiving inactive accounts, and collaborating to improve paid on time and auto-match rates.
  • Other duties: Assisting with weekly KPI reports, liaising with AR department on discrepancies, supporting year-end audits, and promoting our culture of diversity and inclusion.

About You
  • Experience with global purchase orders and high-volume invoicing, preferably in retail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software; familiarity with Dynamics 365 is a plus
  • Adaptability and drive for process improvements
  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive, team-oriented attitude
