Distinct Consultancy is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant in Southport to support invoice processing, supplier liaison and payment runs in a growing, market-leading business.

The role offers hybrid working after probation, a competitive salary up to £27,000, and benefits including pension, health cover, and life insurance. You will reconciliate supplier statements and help resolve queries to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience with supplier reconciliations, preferably using Excel.
• Understanding of purchase order, 3-way process.
• Confident communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.

Responsibilities

• Action invoices and credits from suppliers that require manual intervention after failed 3-way matching.
• Process pre-approved manual invoices, including foreign invoices.
• Investigate invoicing queries and discrepancies.
• Assist in preparation of payment runs to ensure timely payments.
• Develop relationships with suppliers to resolve queries.
