Job summary

Venture Recruitment Partners is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant in Guildford to take ownership of supplier invoices and month-end processes across multiple entities. The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office after probation) and a 3-month contract with potential to turn permanent.

You will manage weekly and monthly payment runs in multiple currencies, reconcile supplier statements, and support audits with a high level of accuracy and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger roles.
• Strong Excel/MS Office skills with experience using accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads.

We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join an established and growing business in Guildford. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key Accounts Payable processes across multiple group entities and a varied portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare and manage weekly and monthly payment runs across multiple currencies
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Maintain and update the Accounts Payable ledger, including issuing remittances
• Support month-end processes, audits, and ad hoc finance projects

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills, with experience using accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure

Key Details

• Location: Guildford
• Hybrid: 3 days after probation
• Salary: £15-17 p/h PAYE
• Contract: 3 months with potential of turning permanent
