Job summary

Clark Wood in Ipswich is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join a leading accountancy firm. You will take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services while developing junior staff.

You will work closely with Directors and Partners on technical matters and play a key role in business development within a supportive, forward-thinking firm.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CA qualified or equivalent.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice.
• Experience with clients across various industries.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
• Autonomous with ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
• Commercially aware with a proactive client service mindset.

Alongside managing your own portfolio, you will oversee the work of team members, provide coaching and mentoring, and contribute to the continued development of the department. You will also identify opportunities to add value for clients and support wider business development activities.
